November 18th, 2017: The Third Lecture “Entrepreneurship In Developing Countries”

The joint field study course, “Entrepreneurship In Developing Countries”, has both field and classroom components. This year, students went on a trip to Thailand from August 26th to September 3rd and had a field study with the cooperation of Yunus center at Asian Institute Of Technology (AIT).

Fifteen students at Kyushu University from various departments including medicine, agriculture and economics were divided into four groups based on their interests: maternal and child health, public health, LGBT issues and the environment. They researched six communities around Bangkok and made their business plans.

In the third lecture on November 18th, students polished their business plans with the guidance from Ms Miho Kobayashi. She is a consultant at Avergence Inc. and supports participants of the YY contests to create business plans. Students walked around the communities, witnessed the issues happening and shared their valuable time together for nine days. They actively exchanged their opinions and ideas about their plans.

This joint field study course, “Entrepreneurship In Developing Countries” is offered by SBRC and QREC (Robert T. Huang Entrepreneurship Center of Kyushu University) which provides a full-scale, top-level entrepreneur education in Asia.
